Solang Valley
At an altitude of about 8500 feet above the sea level one can enjoy the bliss of nature on the banks of the river Beas. One needs to travel about 10 kilometers from the picturesque hill station of Manali to reach the fascinating Solang Valley. The Solang valley in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is a place where one can celebrate peace amidst the snow capped peaks and the lush greenery of the dense forests.

The Solang Valley is also the place where the Ski school of Manali is located. There are wonderful ski slopes and picnic spots in this beautiful place. There are regular buses plying to this place from cities like Delhi and Chandigarh. The hill resort of Solang valley is situated on the National Highway no. 21. There are various ski packages arranged by the HPTDC during the winter months. Solang valley of Manali is well connected to other important cities of North India as well. The best time to visit the Solang valley is during the months of January and February, when this calm place becomes busy with activities.

Manikaran
According to Hindu mythology while Parvati bathed in the river, Naga, the serpent god stole her "Manikaran" (earrings). Manikaran is at the bottom of dark gorge with hot sulphurspring emerging from the rock strewn banks of the Parvati. There are both Hindu and Sikh pilgrim centers offering "Langar" (community food) and stay to devotees. One can see food being cooked with the help of boiling sulphur waters. Manikaran sulphur water is said to have miraculous healing properties for skin ailments. People take bath and many claim to have being cured with its therapeutic properties. There are separate baths for men and women.

Rohtang Pass
The great height of the snow capped peaks and the surrounding greenery promises to enchant every visitor to this small hill station. There are various fascinating tourist attractions in and around the Manali town. The Rohtang Pass is one such destination, loved by the visitors mainly for the beauty its altitude promises. The Rohtang Pass is the highest point on the Manali- Keylong Road.

Located at an altitude of 4112 meters above sea level, the spot promises an exquisite view of the surrounding mountain ranges. There are trekkers available from the Manali town for going to the Rohtang Pass. You can also opt to trek this distance. The trekkers' route to the Rohtang Pass of Manali is will provide one some of the most beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the greenery all around. There are great trekking opportunities around the Rohtang Pass near Manali, though the skiing scopes are limited. Vashist Hot Water Spring
This place promises to provide the visitors a wonderful view of the beautiful Beas River. Vashist is located at a distance of about 6 km away from the beautiful town of Manali in the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The hill is covered with a large number of pine and deodar trees. The Vashist village lies at the foot of a laterite accumulated rocky hill on the left bank of the river Beas. The ponds or the water kunds, as they are popularly called, can be found just at the center of the village.

There is also one tank specially reserved for women of this locality. These hot water springs are also a major source of water for many tourist spots in and around Manali. The Vashist Hot Water Spring has always remained as one of the most favorite among the Manali tourist attractions.

Vashisth Temple
Nearby is a pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashisth Muni (Sage). Nearby temple there is provision sulphur water bathrooms for ladies and gents have been built close.Across the Beas river about 3.2 km away from the Manali bus stand at an altitude of 1,982 meters (6,200 ft.), above the Manali-Kelyong road and down below the temple are the hot sulphur spring, named as Vashisth, endowed with great healing powers.

Tibetan Monasteries
The monasteries are rich in preserving the culture of the Tibetan people. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa is situated near the Mall in Manali. The literature and the handicrafts of the people of Tibet are preserved in the Tibetan monasteries in Manali. The architecture of the monastery represents the Tibetan style of architecture designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides in the monastery. The aromatic fragrance of the Tibetan incense sticks that are lit in the Tibetan Monasteries of Manali lays an enchanting charm on the tourists and lures them to visit the monastery again.

Hadimba Temple
The temple is situated at a distance of 2.5 kilometers from the tourists' office in Manali. One of the primary Manali tourist attractions is the Hadimba Temple that was constructed in the 16th century. Surrounded by the wooded deodar forests, the temple attracts a large number of tourists who frequently visit the pilgrim spot in Manali. A rock worshiped inside the temple is believed to be the representative of Durga. The unique architecture of the temple incorporates the styling of the Pagoda or the Buddhist place of worship with wood carvings. The Hadimba Temple was constructed in the year 1553 by Raja Bahadur Singh. Placed amidst the wooded trees, the temple is one of the most frequented pilgrim spots in Manali.

Nehru Kund

Banjar Shoja
The wonders of Himalayan hill architecture can be seen in Banjar valley throughout. Shoja is a wonderful hidden splendor amidst Banjar valley. There are temples with pent-roofs and others with pyramidal roofs. These temples, in which there is extensive use of wood, were constructed in the are studded with forests. The walls are built of alternating layers of wood and stone but the roof distinguishes the type. The term hill architecture in Banjar valley brings to mind a vision of stone and wooden structures with a square or rectangular plan and a roof with a concave appearance or superimposed pyramidal roofs one on top of the other.

Jagatsukh
Jagatsukha, like Manali, besides being a perfect honeymoon destination it is also a Hindu pilgrimage site. Located at the Northern end of the Kullu Valley in India Manali is situated at close proximity to the snow line of the Indian Himalayas. There are a number of interesting and picturesque locations in and around Manali and the village of Jagatsukha is one among them. The heavenly character of the Indian Himalayas is an integral part of the Hindu religion and the village of Jagatsukha in Himachal Pradesh is no exception.

Rahala Waterfalls
Gushing down from an altitude of 2,501 meters, the Rahala Waterfalls is a product of melting glaciers. Manali is often referred to as the Switzerland of the East, and truly so, the bout of natural splendor in Manali knows no bound. Lying on the way to the Rotang Pass the Rahala Waterfalls is located 16 Kilometers from Manali and 4 kilometers away from Kothi.

The Rahala Waterfalls in Manali is an integral part of the Himalayan ecstasy. The scenic uniqueness of this natural waterfall has made it one of the primary tourist spots in the whole of Manali. The area around the Rahala Waterfalls is absolutely marvelous and the location also allows a picture perfect view of the surrounding areas. The pleasant view twined with the sound of the gushing water makes Rahala Waterfalls an ideal picnic spot. Just beyond the Rahala Waterfalls is the white glacier of Rotang Pass.

Arjun Gufa
Located on the left bank of the river Beas, the Arjuna Gufa or the Cave of Arjuna is 5 Kilometers away from the town of Manali.Manali in the Indian Himalayas is a a jewel on the forehead of India and this hill queen has a number of interesting sites and the Arjuna Gufa is one of them.

There is a prevalent belief that it is in these caves near the village of Prini that Arjuna, one of the Pandava brothers, performed his penance and meditated as a result of which he succeeded in acquiring the Pashupata Ashtra or the weapon from the Hindu Lord Indra.The nearest village to the Arjuna Gufa is the village of Prini and its is a perfect hilly village with all its charm. The Arjuna Gufa is linked to the legend of Mahabharata.
